A Hospital environment should be capable of providing the necessary services to patients and be a comfortable place for loved ones. This is not the case in third-world facilities. They are often without the proper equipment, supplies and staffing vital to giving care to those suffering and in dire need of medical services.
ACCESS [Assisting, Clinical, Centers with Equipment, Supplies & Staffing] helps hospitals in developing countries improve on their ability to provide adequate medical services to their patients by providing the necessary equipment and supplies donated by hospitals in the U.S. and Canada and by securing staff [nurses and other medical professional] volunteers to train in the use of such equipment and supplies as well as serve in the facilities 1 to 2 years as part of the hospital staff.
ACCESS was created after Rev. William Foster Jr. visited the Philippines on a mission’s trip where he witnessed the dismal hospital conditions in Cebu. He had the vision of creating a charitable organization that would utilize hospitals, medical & nursing schools, manufactures and universities in America and Canada to aid hospitals in developing countries to provide sufficient medical care for their citizens.
"Everyone deserves access to proper medical care...no matter where they live"...
